i don't really know what you would call it. i want to get my hair cut where its like kind of wispsy and different lengths at the bottom with side bangs. everyone calls it "emo", but whats it really called? the bottom part? is it fringe?

The bottom part is called layers, and it's mot emo. YOu know whats funny? Emo is a type of music, emotive hardcore, but now everyones like, if you're depressed you're emo, and it makes people even more depressed. And who cares what "everyone" thinks? If you like it, go for it! And another thing, that style is really awesome and fashion forward, and I personally think that guys with good fashion sense and a sense of self are more attractive than guys who just follow the crowd, or fall behind it....One thing you would have to do though is straighten it unless you have naturally super straight hair. If it's curly, it will look stupid. Also, if you don't feel like straightening it, you can always blowdry it with a round brush and an anti-frizz serum or straightening balm. And you won't be labeled as "weak" if you actually care about your hair. It actually looks good, and will be labeled as a sign of maturity!

ok real scene/ emo hair isn't in a "fashionable" manor... go to some actual shows and look how they do their hair. its super choppy and out of control... it doesn't always have to be black... usually has some sort of highlighting. you wouldn't use "side swept" bangs when describing them... if you are actually "scene" you basically have short dyed bead head, because they don't care what anyone thinks. good luck.

u should straighten ur hair with a striaghtning iron make sure u use heat activating gel so ir wount fry ur hair.and u can use like a wax or clay for ur hair.a really good one is crude clay is a little costy like 20 bucks not to much but for clay its a little costy but it works it doesnt look greasy it gives ur hair a matte effect.good luck

Looks pretty lame at the mo, I'd say rather than trying to copy the emo horde and being a sheep why don't you look for something a bit more personal, something that looks good for you, and if you want colour pick it based on what looks good rather than what will stand out most.

If you just want shock value like most emos then style doesn't matter, just darken, add a red or blonde stripe and join the other thoughtless kids. If you actually want to be an individual then check out the hair style books at a salon and talk to a professional about what you'd like to achieve.

Well, let's see...I have absolutely no idea what a 'scurl' is, so I'll just have to assume that it's a kind of curl (I have never stepped in a hair salon in my life, so I don't know).

Emo hair, or at least the hairstyle, is usually straight with bangs or fringe over one side of the face, if I remember right. To do that, you'd probably need to straighten your hair and style it daily. Bear in mind that you might have to go to a beauty parlor to get it straightened and styled the first time, though. If you think it's worth the upkeep, go for it.

Flatirons kill your hair, though.

For scene hair, make sure you have a side fringe, and have the bottom layer of your hair really long - longer than other lays. If you're getting it done at a salon you can find a picture from www.photobucket.com and search 'scene hair' and find a picture that you like and print it and show your hair stylist and they will get it done for you.

Scene hair consist of chompy layers.

You also need hair products like hair spray etc... and need to know how to tease your hair!

If it showed up as a bunny head that means you do not have the mesh to make it work. What you have is only a recolor. Go back to the site you downloaded from and check to see if the mesh is free or pay. Well, You should try some Hair De-Intesifying shampoo. And then stratin it. Then dye it black, Then go to your hairdresser with a pic or a emo haircut and they will take over from there. Or if you wantto do it your self follow the instructions till it says go to the hare dresser, So insteed of that get out a hair razor and do it to the back of your head so its about 1/2 inch long , Leave the bangs right inffront of your face and taaa daa your done

since you have coarse hair i would get your hair really texturized its a shear that is used to not make it so coarse. then i would get a CHI flat iron. its about 130 dollars i know that sounds like alot but trust me it is the best flat iron on the market. when its cut get short layers on the top so that it can stand up. just bring in a pic to a salon and they can do it for you

get some Bed Head Manipulator for the back part. run your fingers through your hair with a small amount of product until it is the shape you want it. for the front, get a hair gel that is less intense, and comb it through your hair to the side, over one eye. then blow dry the front bit to get rid of the greasy look.

**edit** obviously, you will have to get it cut first. take that picture to any hair dresser that seems half way decent and tell them to do ALL of it with a razor. they should be able to manage :)

I'd try it in a deep purple-red and whitish streaks. I've seen it at school. Trust me...it looks awesome and cool. The color is more of a burgandy-purple though. Good luck!

I have longish(a lil past my shoulders) black hair that is wavy as it gets past my ears and it drives me mad. Does anyone know of any hairstyles or such that are punk/emo with out dying it or cutting it short. I already die it black...and can't have it some cool color (blue...purple.. Don't be offended but I strongly reccommend against "emo hair." Long hair is gorgeous! Be different and unique - not another stereotype. All of my girlfriends much prefer long hair, we do not find the trend attractive at all. Also keep in mind hair takes time to grow back.

However, it is your hair and your choice, any hairdresser will know of the style and be able to cut it no problem - just bring a picture with you.

Haha, being in a 14-month relationship with an emo guy tought me some things, including how to do hair.

First, dye it black.

Add a wee bit of oil or hair cream so it'll be easy to slick down. NOT GEL!

Then, from the middle-top of your head part it horizontally.

Take the front part and brush/comb it down to the right. Add side bangs in your face, if you can.

Take the back part and just play with it.

Take a small-toothed comb and just flip it in difference directions.

Mainly left-right; so it'll be spikey.

That should be it.

Or you can do the same thing only not spike it in the back, so comb it downward.

But if you want a little color, get tips of blonde, red, orange. Warm colors, not cool.

Or you can chunk it, streaks.

If you decide streaks, make sure they're VERY thin and aren't a lot.
