ok so my hair is past my shoulder a bit, normal med. length. It's thick and after the shower it drives puffy or full, and sometimes it's wavy or when it's straight it looks un-likable

Shear your hair off to ear length, then layer it to your liking. Make sure that the front covers your face. if you do it yourself, you get the emo look, 'cause it usually isn't too even.
